Charles Muthama
Charles is a seasoned, multi-skilled, internationally experienced, Change Management, HR and Business Transformation professional with broad, hands-on experience managing multiple, complex, cross-border, and Change Management and Business Transformation projects for top ranked multinational companies (DHL, Tetra Pak & Deloitte) in over 16 Countries across 2 Continents (Europe & Africa).
As a Change Management Specialist, at Tetra Pak AB in Sweden, he contributed to the implementation Tetra Pak’s SAP driven Business Transformation Program” in UK, France, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Iceland & Belgium.
He was also the Change Manager for the setting up of 15 Country European Financial Shared Service Center, at Manchester, UK.
Charles is a Certified Trainer Skills Level 6 (TS6) by the U.K. Dept of Business Innovation and Skills and can therefore review training manuals, facilitate training courses and support individual staff and work teams to sustainably transition to new work place technologies.
He has through knowledge of Project Management throughout the Project Cycle from initiation, planning, kick-off, implementation, cut-over, go-live, hyper-care and continuous improvement. He has the ability to facilitate Process Mapping, convergence and integration workshops.
Recently, he completed a 5 year contract as the Change Manager, HR and Business Transformation Lead for USAID/KEMSA Support Program.
Success of this project has resulted in:-
- Successful Implementation of KEMSA’s New Business Model.
- Growth of KEMSA’s revenues by 350% over the last 4 years.
- Award of a USD 650 Million USAID Medical Commodities Supply Contract
- Recognition by The World Bank, European Business Assembly and multiple international awards.
Previously, he was the start-up Group HR and Integration Manager for Wananchi Group (Zuku)
As the Corporate Change Manager at AMREF, he led the Organisational Strengthening Programme (OSP) in 18 Countries in Africa, Europe & USA. Successful implementation of this initiative resulted in a 150% growth in AMREF revenues over a 2 year period.
Charles holds a Master of Science Degree in HRM from Jommo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology and a Bachelor of Education Degree from Kenyatta University. He is a member of IHRM (K). He has undergone extensive international training in Change Management, Cross-Cultural Management and Organizational Knowledge Management, respectively. He is currently pursuing a PhD in Organizational Theory & Behaviour at JKUAT.
